Savage is off, we already knew this. But where? Sunderland are keen, but need to stump up the cash. Fulham and Sheffield United are also interested but it is unlikely he’d make the step down a division.
Santa Cruz is a wanted man. I very much doubt he’ll go anywhere but City made a bid of around £6 million, needless to say it was rejected. Thank God.

Steve Sidwell from Chelsea? A possible replacement for Robbie Savage. We have also been linked in the past with a move for Spurs’ Tom Huddlestone.
