Can we break Chelski’s run?
By: Dan Clough | September 14th, 2007
Rovers travel to the capital tomorrow hoping to avenge the cup semi-final defeat of last season and continue our unbeaten run against Chelsea.
Unfortunately, the odds are stacked heavily against us with the Pensioners on a crazy 65 game unbeaten run!
However, with our also impressive 14 match unbeaten run to uphold you would think we will at least give them a game!
Jose’s side appear to be faltering at the minute and lost the last league game at Villa after a poor performance, it was sometimes easy to forget that this was a team that won the title only two seasons ago!
Sparky looks like having an almost full squad available although he still needs to check on the fitness of Benni, Santa and Mokoena. Tugay misses out after being sent off against City. Steven Reid may return, and Bents will be back from international duty full of confidence after finally being capped!
Chelsea are without possibly their two best players. Lampard and Drogba both missing out, although flop of last season Andriy Shevchenko is back and may want to prove a point to the Stamford Bridge faithful!
The game is live on Setanta Sports at 5:45 (GMT)
My prediction
2-1 to the mighty Rovers! Come on you Blues!

Wot unbeaten run we beat you 4 times last season. twice in the league, in the Carling Cup and the FA Cup Semi-Final. Kick off is 5.15pm and not 5.45pm as for the Villa performance Chelsea lost to a team that took their chances, but you are right that Lampard and Drogba are out I will give you that one…… but as for the rest do your research first!!!!
KTBFFH
Another yank supporting an English team with the Russian flavour Chelski and Jack Walker didn’t BUY your title then????????????

Andy, the unbeaten run I am referring to is the 14 game unbeaten run since we lost the FA Cup semi. Not an unbeaten run soley in games involving Chelsea. Before you leave obnoxious comments on my blog please learn to understand English.
PS – I am not a yank supporting an English club I was born in Blackburn and have supported my beloved home town club ever since – I have never been to America, a fact I am quite happy about. Fair enough, maybe we did buy the title but of what relevance is this?
Yes I admit I got the kick off time wrong, my mistake, but I see this as a minor error.
