FK Vetra v Rovers
By: Dan Clough | July 22nd, 2007My original plan was to attempt a ‘live blog’ of tonight’s game - Something I’ve never done before.
However, having now discovered a pub that is showing the game live I will be forced to go and have a drink!
A match report will be available at some point tonight or tomorrow.
Rovers followers who have travelled to Lithuania’s capital are to be greeted by 300 policemen, paranoia seemingly at a high following the trouble with Legia Warsaw in the previus round! A little unnecessary considering the reputation we have as a ‘family’ club but there you go.
Sparky looks to have an almost full team to choose from with Steven Reid the only definite absentee. Robbie Savage was struggling with a stomach bug and Stephen Warnock came off against Bielefeld with a hamstring problem, but both are now fine.
I fully expect us to win this game, quite comfortably, despite the fact that the Lithuanian’s are half way through their season and Rovers have only played two friendlies. The difference in quality should show.
My prediction
FK Vetra 1 - 3 Rovers
My thanks go to Travis Anderton who helped with editing the image

Howdy. Jay here from Spurs blog. Just out of interest, did MG Pederson play? How did he get on? And do you think he’d be interested in a move to Spurs should we bid for him?

He did but it was nothing special. Much like the rest of the team. I’m not sure whether he’d go or not, I’m hoping they just don’t offer!!

Sparky wouldn’t let him go would he? What if we offered 10m? Just out of interest…

Do Spurs really need him? I think 10 mill would certainly tempt Sparky!

We definately need him. Or any left winger for that matter. Close to getting Petrov, so we’ll see how that goes…
