Chelski 0 - 0 Rovers - 15 games unbeaten!
By: Dan Clough | September 17th, 2007A resilient defending display on Sunday saw Rovers leave Stamford Bridge with an excellent point.
We were well and truly battered almost from start to finish but Brad, Samba and the Admiral played out of their skins to earn us a draw. Chris ‘Monster’ Samba even sacrificed his head to prevent Shevchenko to score. Thankfully Samba recovered soon after.
It has to be said that had Chelsea’s finishing been a bit more clinical they could have scored but it wasn’t to be.
I’m not even going to go into the whole offside goal debate as I’m sick of it already! Needless to say, the ref ruled it out so it didn’t count. Although Jose Mourinho went back to his usual argument of, “that ref has been bribed!”
The one thing that a lot of reporters have opted to miss out of their often one-sided match reports is the fact that we were denied a blatant penalty when MGP was fouled by Jon Obi Mikel late on.
A draw, against the odds, and a clean sheet sees our excellent run continue and another good result!
