DSC Arminia Bielefeld 2 - 1 Rovers
By: Dan Clough | July 15th, 2007
An unsuccessful second pre season friendly ended in defeat in Germany against the side who finished 12th in last years Bundesliga.
There was still a run out for new boy Maceo Rigters but his thirty-minute spell didn’t really give him a chance to shine.
Rovers took the lead after just three minutes with an Andre Oijer (welcome back to the side) header from Bentley’s free kick.
Worrying scenes then saw Stephen Warnock substituted after just 18 minutes with an injury, he was replaced by Bruno Berner.
Rovers seemed to be having the best of the first half until Christian Eigler (who?) equalised for Bielefeld after 32 minutes.
Big Brad was called in to action just before half time, having to stop a distant effort from Bohme which he dealt with in his usual excellent manner!
Robbie Savage came on at half time for Aaron Mokoena and it took the Welshman 57 seconds to receive a yellow card, not sure what for!
Ryan Nelsen saw a header hit the bar and go over before Bielefeld went ahead on 55 minutes, Jorg Bohme with a cheeky lob over Friedel.
Dunn hit the bar on 77 minutes from the edge of the box and then scored late on but it was ruled out for offside.

There’s no doubt Warnock has talent, but the reason why we got rid of him was because of his reckless tackling and his inability to avoid injury. The kid is just really unlucky, I hope it’s nothing serious though.
