Rovers 0 - 1 Pompey
By: Dan Clough | September 23rd, 2007Having travelled all the way from my university home in Lincoln to watch this game I have to say I was not amused!
Rovers dominated the first fifteen minutes, Santa hitting the bar the closest we came to scoring all game, until Kanu scored a poor goal for Pompey.
A defensive blunder allowed Kanu to shoot at an almost open goal, slotting it through Warnock’s legs into the bottom corner. I wouldn’t mind so much, only Kanu is shit, and did absolutely nothing all game.
Yet again a game I don’t want to think about too much, so I’m ending this post now.
One positive thing is that the next five games, as this one was, should be wins for the Rovers. We play Brum in the cup on Wednesday, Sunderland away on Saturday, then it’s Larissa, Birmingham (again) and Reading all at home. With any luck we’ll get ourselves back on track!
