A reason to be happy despite defeat

By: Dan Clough | November 11th, 2007

042204_fg1.jpgAfter Rovers disappointing result at Old Trafford I’ve come up with a way of consoling yourself.

Close your eyes, go on, trust me. (Although it would make it difficult to read, so maybe just half close them)

Now think back four years, Graeme Souness was in charge.

It’s the begininning of the season and expectations among the fans are high.

Souey comes on the telly or radio and says the following words. “We just want to stay in the division. 40 points, then everything after that is a bonus.”

Under Souness we saw little on the way of progress.

Look at the league table now, we are 7th. Two defeats. 22 points. One game in hand.

Better? I thought so!
