Here’s what the leak of the new Home kit looks like. I’m still not sure if I like it but that BRFC on the back is nice. Kit leaks galore, with the third kit supposedly the blue away kit from this season.

That black crown paints is gaudy. I wish they would blend it better. I’m not sure about the red.

Like I mentioned, the BRFC is sharp, but I’m not too sure.

  I won’t touch the poll, as I implied before, until I get to think about it more. First thoughts, though – I like bringing the red accents back, in principle, and I like the BRFC on the back of the neck. I have a 95-96 “Champions” shirt, and I really believe that Crown needs to go the McEwan’s route, with a white background with red print, to further tie it to the past successes…I’d prefer a red-and-white-only collar striping, and see no need for the striping on the right sleeve or the red stripe at the bottom. In other words – touches of red = good. Too much = bad. And the black Crown logo is a mistake. It should be a white field with red print of the Crown Paints name, keeping it a classic Rovers design…

  While trying to not passing judgement: this is a pretty modern interpretation of a past successful kit, outside of the black logo field…change that, and this kit combines the best of both worlds (shit, even make the field red, and you have a winner)

  But give me a week or two to make a final choice. I do believe this is the real deal, even as a leak….

  I probably won’t buy this kit (or the new away). I really like the blue away from last year (I totally called it becoming the 3rd kit, didn’t I jimmy?).
  So I own my Samba 08-09 away and my signed 08-09 home. In my opinion two of the best recent kits.
  I’m not a huge fan of the red accents, but the BRFC on the back is a nice touch. I’ll probably make the bold statement of red shorts (if i can find a place in the US to get them) for this season though.

  jjf3, I wouldnt mind the black text on an all white box breaching both halves. That would be ideal for me. And I’m right there with ya on not being able to judge the shirt right off of the bat, I made the mistake of pre-hating the away and I’m probably going to wind up buying in a few weeks time. I took out my champions kit and compared it to this one and I see the similarities.

  You’re right about the over touching on the red outline though, I didn’t even notice that mess on the sleeve till you pointed it out. Still, I won’t condemn this one yet. Hell I haven’t even in my own poll.

  BMatthews, first off thanks for the kind words and support. Really.

  Second off, not only did you LOVE the blue kit when it came out, but (as you correctly said) you did call the club using it as a third jersey. (Second comment down.)

  And red shorts? Bold.
