Macca snubs Bentley

Once again David Bentley has been screwed by England!

Asked to play for the Under 21’s after being called up to the full squad last season, Bents withdrew from Stuart Pearce’s side. He faced much criticism from all sides for this but he was merely looking after his fitness ahead of an early start to competitive football for Rovers.

So now, Steve McLaren has bitten his nose off to spite his face by omitting one of England’s best young talents from his squad to play in Germany.
