Takeover is dead

As has been my expectation for some time now, the Daniel Williams takeover bid is dead.
The Jack Walker trustees, despite wanting to sell their 99.8% stake in the club, have been unwilling to reduce their valuation of the club and so the deal has fallen through.
I saw this coming. After all the exciting talk at the start of the season there was nothing for a long while, just an ominous silence.
So what now for the trustees? Blackburn Rovers FC will never make a profit for an investor. We need someone who supports the club, nae loves the club, someone who doesn’t give a toss about the money. Hang on… We’ve had one of those, and it’s not often you get another, not in a town the size of Blackburn.
My message to the trustees is this. Your relative, may Uncle Jack rest in peace, spent a large chunk of his huge fortune on our club, making us a force in English football once more. Times have changed and even Jack’s money wouldn’t be enough these days but, for the sake of Uncle Jack, put your bluddy hands in your pockets and support our manager!
I don’t understand how we haven’t got any money for transfers. These TV deals give us £40 million (ish) a year, plus the money in the Jack Walker trust fund. Sort it out chaps and get us back into Europe!
In other news, the Reserves’ Senior Cup game against Bolton is tonight, I had said it was last night.
