A penalty settled the game, won and scored by Jamie Clarke. The win gives Rovers their first three points of the season.
The Academy side drew 1-1 at home to West Brom and continue to struggle.
Rovers deserved to win and Aaron Dovan’s early goal should have been enough but a defensive error from Gavin Gunning allowed WBA to equalise.
