

Youth/Ladies update

Rovers Ladies, who had an impressive first season in the National Division last season got off to a flyer. They hammered Cardiff 6-0 at Clitheroe to put them top of the league.
Katie Anderton hit an amazing five goals, including a first-half hattrick. New girl (is that the right terminology) Natalie Preston hit the sixth goal for Rovers.

Meanwhile, Rovers Academy side got the season off to a decent start with a hard-fought draw at Sunderland’s Academy of Light.
Rovers went behind to a penalty early in the second half. Rovers equaliser almost came from the penalty spot; Jamie Clarke putting the ball neatly into the bottom corner.
