Reports this week have linked Fulham with a bid for midfielder Keith Andrews. Rovers reportedly rejected the first bid, and have asked for £3million for the Republic of Ireland international, according to the Mirror.

So my question to you, loyal readers, should we sell or keep him? Valuable squad man? Or one of Ince’s buddies playing out of his depth?

Personally, I don’t care either way. If we can get a good sum, and £3million is definitely a good sum, then I say sell him. I’ve never been too impressed with him, but he’s not too bad a squad player. No where near the level a premier league starter should be. That’s just my two cents.

But now I want your two cents. Let me know in the poll after the jump and in the comments section below how you feel about our Keith.

First off, apparently, the game was played in the dark ages because there are not highlights anywhere right now. Not even Fox Soccer Report had them. SO I’m hoping SSN will have some up and they’ll be out by tomorrow.

EDIT: Now With Highlights!

Second off: There might be a poll every week if they win every time I put one up. Okay, it was the first one, but why not right? Also, I was expecting just myself to answer in the poll, so I was really excited to see a lot more then just me. Thanks a lot to everyone who participated, and hopefully more will in the future.

Third: Rovers coming back hardcore and stealing those points away from Fulham. Up to 15th, 4 points back of 10th! That win made the future extremely bright and showed a level of grit and determination I haven’t seen all season. Fantastic all the way around. I guess I’m coming around to Spit the Diouf, because I was kinda happy to see his name on the score sheet. Also, Roberts scoring and MGP having a good game? Let it go on forever!

Too happy to talk about Le Arse this weekend, but hopefully their CL slugfest tired them out and we’ll get the scrubs.

UP THE ROVERS!

However, unsure if it’s just the stress of midterms ruining my life, I’ve added a poll that I would love to get some feed back on. In case all my options were too doom and gloom, I’ve added a write in slot so you can type in your own answer. Then, if you wanna comment and spark for debate about why your answer is right, then good on ya I’ll join right in! Plus, hopefully there will be enough results for me to get an accurate feel of how other Rovers supporters are feeling at this point in the season. So click away today, and hope for the best tomorrow. UP THE ROVERS!

A game with out many chances for either side, had draw written all over it from the beginning. While both sides did have a few clear opportunities, nothing ever came to fruit.

A draw against a team in the semi-finals of the F.A. Cup and 6th in the league isn’t a bad result. However, results from teams we’re fighting against to stay in the top flight have not been helping us at all as of late. Our game is hand advantage runs out on Wednesday when we play Fulham, a game I must admit I feel will decide our season. 3 points is vital and will catapult us into 15th if we succeed. It’s time to see what Big Sam and the boys are made of.

On the face of it, nothing special really. A scrappy, late victory against a plucky, mediocre team at home. However, I think A LOT of positives can be taken:

- A clean sheet!!! This was most important, and I think I may have even been happy with a 0-0 as long as the defence had held up. Fulham’s forwards looked very dangerous last week and they have a good midfield, so for the defence to hold up shows that they are competent. Robbo’s confidence will have been boosted and Ince was quick to praise him after some fantastic saves: “The most important thing is that our back five today was outstanding. Paul Robinson made two world-class saves. He made one in the first minute and if that goes in, heads can go down and it could be a completely different story. He made another one 15 minutes from time from Johnson, world-class, and if that goes in it could be a different story.”

- Tactical variation. Peds was on the right and did a decent job. Emerton did fantastically in central midfield. I’ve thought before that he could be used here, with his Aussie cockiness, strength, stamina and tackling ability. Ince should consider doing this again.

- New faces. Andrews could well be up to this Premier League malarky after all. Ince has faith in him and with Dunn out, he will be useful. A great game for academy lad Keith Treacy too – another Damian Duff would be fine thanks.

- The subs. More of Villanueva please! The only problem we may have is if he can be competent enough defensively to play in a midfield two, or should he be a supporting forward? Comment please… If he can play in a two (or a diamond), then we need him and Matt Derbyshire in the team too. The goal could be a snapshot of Rovers attacking play to come: Carlos to Santa to Derbs.

The only downer was Roberts. I think he could work well but he marginalizes Roque and is not as good a target man (Roque got more involved when Roberts went off).

Still, Ince clearly has a wealth of options, which is no bad thing.

Highlights!

Anyone remember that old Benni Mac? I don’t

The fixture last season away was a particular frustrating one for us. Two great goals for us(one offside admittedly) and two shabby goals for them. Nelson was the culprit of that ghastly tackle in the box to give Fulham a Penalty and the lead. Fulham seem to always be poking and prodding away at the opposition. Fulham are sitting pretty in the 7th place position right now having downed Notlob this past weekend. They certainly have their things together as they don’t look anything like the Fulham team that was almost relegated last year. A whole mess of moves in as well as out of Fulham this past window has apparently done something right, and they head into Ewood on a bit of a hot streak. Hopefully though, this will be the game that parks their return to the form they displayed last season, finishing with security in the top flight just barely at the 16th spot and only as high as 12th the year before.

The key to stopping Fulham I feel will be in the midfield. They’re deceptively capable of quite a bit of skill be it passes or the odd shot. Davies, Bullard, Murphy and Gera should be the ones making the start if I am correct, and Gera has a goal already this season. However, shutting them down there will not allow Zamaora or fat old A.J.(if they play him) to get any sort of service.

It’s also odd seeing the team that fielded so many American’s is now down to just one. Looks like the nickname Fulhamerica is out the door.

We need Warnock to snap out of whatever funk he’s in for this game; it will allow Nelson to stop messing around too. I blame a lot of Nelson’s crap performance last week on him trying to pick up men Warnock let go. Andrews? Put up or shutup. You’re not looking bad but you’re definitely not looking up to par.

I say a nice 3-0 win for the lads at home, and a confidence boost in a clean sheet for Robbo. Santa with 2 and Peds with a free kick goal.

RobinVanTwatwaffle, the man I hate more then most people on the planet just because he’s overrated and he’s a douche, scored on a shot that looked more like a fifa 07 glitch. Yeah okay whatever, the rest of the first half, good back and forth play with both teams but more importantly, Rovers, having some good chances. Then for some reason, we decide to stop playing around the 44th minute just as we’re applying some steady pressure, and Arsenal put on a school yard clinic of keep away and short passing 101 for remedial beginners. That was a kick in the proverbial groin that Rovers just could not recover from.

The second half was a shit show. Did we have any shots? Did we even touch the ball? I don’t know. More than 24 hours later I’m still livid about it. Rant time:

Warnock: WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?!?!?! Cause it sure isn’t in the back four, doing what you’re paid to do: PLAY DEFENSE! Don Fabio over there setting up the England better lose your number because he will never call you again. Has the hype about you transferring to the sinking ship got your panties all up in a bunch? Wake up and start fucking playing.

We better not lose to Fulhamerica next week.
