A Look At the Back Pages

By: Jim | Comments No Comments

Well this Monday, soon to be afternoon here on the East Coast of the States, has found me in pretty high spirits as a Rovers supporter. Three wins in seven days has certainly left a nice after taste and I can only hope this ride up here lasts for a while. An optimistic approach I [...]

Benni Mac, Loans Out, and Site Update

By: Jim | Comments 3 Comments

Benni McCarthy has grabbed the eyes of Prem rivals Sunderland as well as Turk giants Galatasaray. The price is set said to be between £7m-£10m, but the latest reports quote Ince as wanting to hold on to the striker. However Rovers are said to be lining up an unnamed replacement, should Sunderland go for the [...]

Quick Update

By: Jim | Comments No Comments

Okay so while we had this missing gap in time here, a few things have happened. The friendlies? Well I don’t put much, rather any, stock in them, so I’ll just say that there were some good and bad things. We still have one more left, against NAC Breda on Saturday so we’ll see what [...]

Rovers’ New Kit Leaked

By: Jim | Comments 9 Comments

The picture seen here was leaked by the Sports Direct website, however they had it listed as the home kit. I highly, highly doubt that anything will be replacing the blue and white halves and it is kind of puzzling as to why they’d have a blue away kit. Logic aside though, I have to [...]

Rovers fined by the FA

By: Jim | Comments No Comments

Today Rovers were fined £10,000 plus costs by the FA for Gamst’s violent attack on Newcastle’s Beye. (as seen in picture to the left) This violent attack was reviewed over by an FA disciplinary board and after hearing evidence they decided that £10,000 seemed just the perfect amount, however, £7,500 of the fine will [...]

Hiring a New Manager: The Fastest Moving Slow-moving Process

By: Jim | Comments No Comments

Well with the giant, and very tasteless, snubbing Mr. Shearer gave us, I’ve taken some time and have put together these thoughts.
• I am extremely happy that Shearer will not be out next manager. While some people may want him or may have had him as the number one on their list, my opinion is [...]
