Well lets see who we brought in shall we?
Nick Blackman (Macclesfield, undisclosed)
Gael Givet (Marseille, loan)
El-Hadji Diouf (Sunderland, £2.8m)

And the Outs?
Frank Fielding (Rochdale, loan)
Eddie Nolan (Preston, undisclosed)
Sergio Peter (Sparta Prague, £500,000)
Jamie Clarke (Rotherham, free)

So only a net loss of £2.5m and we held on to Roque. But Emerton has been ruled out for the season and we didn’t get a center midfielder. This leaves me a tad but worried plus I’m still trying to handle how I should be feeling about Spit theDoof on our team. Rovers take on Sunderland…again…today at 20:00 GST or 3pm EST. Hopefully a nice win will boost us into a strong winning run. As always, comments to help me retain my sanity or provide clarity (particularly on why we signed Spit) is always a help. UP THE ROVERS!

The Silly Season Starts

Some headlines or you to chew on about some recent going ons at Rovers. Santa is still with us for the time being while we have had a few outings. And a big yay for Sunderland who knocked Notlob from the cup today.

Santa Cruz expecting bid by City??(Guardian)……but then is happy at Rovers?(SkySports)

Nolan moves to Preston permanently for a “6 figure deal”, Gallagher to stay with Plymouth, Sergio Peter leaves for Sparta Prague for undisclosed fee, and last but not least Ooijer to AZ Alkmaar??

So lots of outs and not a whole lot of ins, but Big Sam has said that he hopes to bring in his new signings as early as possible.

A Blyth preview tomorrow and hopefully some good transfer news soon. I would say lets al laugh at Bolton, but they say pride comes before the fall, so lets save it. Up the ROVERS!
