The Santa Cruz saga is officially over and the Paraguay international has signed for Rovers.
The 25 year-old striker has signed from Bayern Munich for an undisclosed fee, believed to be in the region of £3.5 million.
Rovers have fought off competition from Manchester City, Porto and Espanyol for the players signature.
Hughes believes Santa Cruz will add an aerial threat to our ever-increasing attack.
So why is it that so many Bayern Munich fans are saying good riddance? That he is a lazy git? Guess we’ll have to wait and see…

Roque has been plagued with injury which is why Bayern supporters are saying ‘good riddance’, I think. He’s one of the most underrated strikers at the moment, as far as I’m concerned. I’m sure Hughes hopes to pair him up with McCarthy- could be a very deadly strikeforce.
McCarthy is my favourite EPL striker (as is Berbatov).
