Striker hunt continues

Roque Santa Cruz’s agent is claiming that a deal for his signature will be sorted out in the next couple of days.
He also claims Rovers have made a concrete offer to rival another offer from Europe. Believed to be from Spaniards Real Zaragoza.
It seems Sparky is keeping tabs on the situations of several other strikers as well.
Further speculation is linking us with a move for Luigi Pieroni of Nantes.
As well as this, Middlesbrough and Everton are after Alan Smith from Man United. Middlesbrough have agreed a £6 million fee which Everton would have to match. Smith is believed to prefer Everton to Boro and him signing for the Toffees would leave the door open for James Beattie to leave and Rovers have been strongly linked with him as well.
