Well apparently we need a combative central midfielder, but theres quite a few injuries there I think – basically Grella – and Vogel hasnt really been given a chance. Then Dunn coming back, not sure about Reids fitness or Andrews at this level. I would say a right mf..someone who will create chances for Roque. And if Roque leaves definetly a striker with the money we get. I’ve heard Newcastle are sniffing around for Warnock but we simply cant afford to sell him….finding a good enough LB in our budget would be hard. Also I dont think we can affford to waste money on taking the option to buy Villanueva (£4m or something) I just dont think he’s been strong enough to play CM which is where he’s best imo (or off the striker).
To summarise:
In:
CF (if roque goes)
RM
DM (depending on injuries)
CB? to give nelson a kick up the backside

Out:
Andrews
if roque goes at least £17m..it is man city

Back to the managers…I dont really want BFS but looking at the alternatives, there aint much there. If GS comes in with Tugay I think it should be short term, til end of season, and maybe tugay can help with morale etc (like Ally McCoist at Scotland).

First and foremost we NEED to beat Stoke. If not, f*ck it, switch over to Rugby.

No Souness please, No Tugay yet. I’m still so anti BFS in my heart but maybe logically he’s just what we need. Like you said Ravi, he’ll help us grind out points and probably keep us up. With Rovers is such a spot, how do you think we’ll fair in the Transfer market? I guess that all depends who’s in charge come January doesn’t it…

It’s interesting, but you have to think that they had someone in mind when the sacked Ince or maybe they would have given him a final chance against Stoke. I’ve got a feeling it might be Souness with Tugay…and that might be what we need but I remember when he left us in the sh*t to destroy his career at Newcastle and I’m still a little sour.
Initially I thought Sam would be a bad choice, but the more I think about it he can get the team playing like we need to go grind out points, sort out the defence, and has experience with working on a budget.
People like Mancini, ten Cate? We really dont have a chance. Whoever it is, if they can get Roque, Nelson, Samba and Pedersen to stay at the club and pumped up I dont think we have a problem. And they should realise that they need to START MCCARTHY!

Thats the big thing in my head, there isnt really one available guy that just jumps out at you as the one to fill the role. No matter who’s chosen, it’ll be just as controversial as Ince’s appointment.

I really would like to see Keegan at the helm, due to his experience, his style of play and because I can’t find any other suitable solution in the British market. In addition approaching Keane or Souness would be like gambling again, as was done with Ince. Keane is not a top flight manager yet, and Souness is not what we need right now. He was good to bring us back in the recent past but I really doubt he would be capable of saving Rovers from relegation. Sam Allardyce is out of question, I feel he’s a guy we can’t trust. And of course we have Curbishley but he never achieved anything relevant.
Another solution would be a foreign manager. We can forget Mourinho or even Rijkaard… ten Cate is doing more or less well in Greece and great in Champions League, we have also Mancini, but I doubt he would accept the job as well as the club having financial health to pay him… any other suggestion?
