All in all i say this season will be one of the most entertaining in a long time because of how close the table is. Sadly my spurs were headed to be this years Derby county but pulled their heads outta their arses. I'm pullin for rovers to stay up, you boys play some strong grassroots footy and i'm rootin for ya. the sad truth is as entertaining as this lower half of the table battle is going to be... three sets of fans are still gonna go home cryin at the end of the season. lets just hope Rovers buy smart in january.

It is now evident that we will be in the dog fight all season and will have to spend inJanuary. People will oppose this and say panic buys and I would usually agree but if we have to spend 15 million or even 20 million and it keeps us up it is worth it. If we go down we lose at LEAST 30 million and probably more with our fickle fans. I have really become pessimistic recently and hope we can start to nick points in big games and win the ones we should especially at home. Ill take anything but a loss away to pompey and then same with Liverpool leaving Wigan (who i believe are strong this year) which I expect 3 point. Small steps 5 points from 3 games!

Ravi, I totally am with you and frustrated at Ince's insistence to play Matty on the right. That's not his position and he's not good there. There's nothing more to say about it. And Treacy is just not up to it. Maybe he will be one day but right now in situations like that, I agree Tugay probably would have been the best to being on.

Drew that seems to be the case right about now at this point in the term. There's 2 Different battles in the league. The challenge for 1-4 and then 5-20, and it's wide open. Cheers too for the comment, fair play and well said.

Problem is all in midfield - changes needed in January. Mokoena is not up to it.

we never looked like we were gonna score. i dont remember gomes making a 'proper' save. maybe emertons was our best chance but woodgate was on fire on sunday....add to that our fragile defence especially Olsson who was torn to shreds by Lennon giving the ball away for the goal and incredibly dumb to get that second yellow card. spuds had the better chances tbh, hitting the post and an awesome save from Robbo from free kicks kept us in it.

As for what to do from here? I am really not impressed with Ince atm, sacking him might be a bit drastic now but he needs to do something for sure. perhaps stop saying we played well...great effort from the lads...thats not enough!
i didnt understand taking off emerton and playing Derbs right wing!!! or bringing on Treacy?? if your 1 nil down with 10 mins to go get rid of your holding midfield player and go for it...Roberts maybe or Tugay...but treacy? too much faith in our youngsters. not sure where Carlos was.

dont get me wrong i'm a spurs fan to the bone, but i feel you on this one. i think I'm not overly impressed with all the interviews i've seen with ince, but i think both these sides as well as a lot of others are gonna be in and out of the R-zone for quite some time.
