Rovers Sign Lars Jacobsen
By: Jimmy | June 29th, 2009
Danish international defender Lars Jacobsen signed for the club today on a free transfer. The 29 year old has moved from Everton, where he saw little play time while recovering from a dislocated shoulder most of the year. However, due to the departure of Ooijer and Danny Simpson, he is sure to be a decent squad man that Big Sam thought could do us a job.
Shrewd little piece of business I say. 29 isn’t too old at all and the the guy has 22 caps for Denmark.
Three signings already, and more to come surely with reports about Steven N’Zonz agreeing to a deal and a striker sure to come on. Big Sam is rapidly making this squad his own. Exciting times to be a Rover!

a good signing I think, I have only seen the guy play a few times and he seemed a solid player. He wasn’t spectacualr but just got on with his job and always looked solid which is what you are looking for.
