Rovers v Pompey

By: Dan Clough | September 22nd, 2007

portsmouth-fc.gifRovers are presented with an opportunity to return to form on Sunday.

The game against Portsmouth represents a chance to forget the horror-who in Greece and continue our solid start to the Premiership campaign.

Rovers will be without skipper Ryan Nelsen who felt some pain in his hamstring in the UEFA Cup game against Larissa, although the injury isn’t as serious as first feared. Sparky is boosted by the return of Chris Samba who was sorely missed on Thursday night.

Portsmouth are currently on a run of only one away win from nineteen and have lost their last twelve so if we can forget Thursday night and play like we have been all season we should win this.

My prediction
3-1 – Santa Cruz, Derbyshire and one for Roberts who’ll come on off the bench late in the game.
