Alex you’re right in that it probably wasn’t his fault for Newcastle, and I put a lot more stock in his track record with Notlob. Just hope he does better with us than he did them.

lol…i just wrote a nice big post abt transfers and managers, and this happens.
I think with his record at skanky Bolton he’s a good choice. He probably realised he had not chance at Sunderland so came to t’Rovers.

I’m feeling more optimistic already…at least we should be shipping less goals.

Well, at first I thought: here we go again, a fallen manager takes over a troubled club. But then again, you are right, the club needs to be saved from relegation first and foremost, and indedd, Sam has been (to their standards) phenomenally successful at Bolton, so why not give him another try? And to be fair to him, probably it wasn’t just up to him that he failed in Newcastle.
